Sustainability Disclaimer
Our Sustainability Impact Report outlines Fera’s ongoing efforts to act responsibly across key areas of our business. It reflects our intent to make thoughtful decisions as we drive positive changes for people, pets, and the planet. Specifically, our use of "sustainable," "responsible," and similar terms should be understood as follows:
Sourcing Ingredients: We aim to prioritize organic, non-gmo, and otherwise ethically sourced ingredients by seeking to work with suppliers who adhere to recognized sustainability standards, including regenerative agriculture practices that promote soil health, biodiversity, and carbon sequestration. However, supply chain complexities, including availability, seasonal variability, and third-party verification challenges, may affect our ability to ensure full compliance.
Packaging, Plastic Neutral, and Recyclable: rePurpose Global has certified all product packaging as plastic neutral through projects that recover and remove plastic waste from the environment. Fera is implementing the use of PCR material that will reduce our virgin plastic use over the next 5 years. We’ve also joined the PSC Packaging Pledge which supports pet companies moving to 100% recyclable, reusable, or compostable packaging by 2025. Fera has committed to transitioning to 100% recyclable packaging by 2025.
Manufacturer and Packaging Partners: We aim to collaborate with manufacturers and partners who share our values for ethical business practices, sustainable sourcing, human rights, and environmental management. While we encourage and support these efforts, we do not control the operations of independent third parties.
Reduce Carbon Emissions: Fera has committed to calculate and offset the carbon emissions across our entire business operations with the goal of CarbonNeutral® Certified via Climate Impact Partners by 2030. We have partnered with EcoCart in order to offset emissions that come from the production and shipping of our products.
While we are dedicated to advancing our environmental and social impact goals, they remain subject to change as new challenges, opportunities, and industry standards emerge. We will continue to report on our progress and update our commitments as part of our strategy.
