The most common source of Omega-3 EPA and DHA is fish oil, and even though fish oil is here to stay, we are happy to give our pet parents a more sustainable option for their furry family members.

Here are 3 reasons why we created our Vegan Omega 3s:
1) Algae is incredibly sustainable, grows fast, and requires little maintenance (sunlight, moving saltwater, and some nutrients).

2) Using algae instead of fish allows us to alleviate pressure on marine life – think 16 million metric tonnes of wild fish – and to help preserve biodiversity in the ocean. 1kg of our Natural Marine Algal Oil, replaces 60kg of wild catch fish.
While the demand for omega 3s is growing, the supply of fish oil is in decline. Since the mid-1980s, fish oil supply has decreased by almost 50%. Current supply is at maximum levels and gradually reducing. Overfishing and the negative effect of global warming on fish stocks could lead to a further downward spiral in the supply of Omega-3 from fish oil.

3) For pets that have a fish allergy, we are happy to provide a source of omega 3s that is vegan and contains no animal products, gluten, dairy, soy, GMO, or sugar.

Our Vegan Omega 3s Oil is made from a special algal strain of Schizochytrium sp. naturally rich in EPA & DHA Omega-3, being the only one that has both EPA & DHA delivered in very high concentrations (more than 50%). This is the highest natural concentration of both EPA & DHA available on the market today.

It is also blended with organic flaxseed and non-GMO Vitamin E (from sunflowers making it soy-free)

1 serving (5ml) contains 150mg EPA and 460mg DHA, along with 1915mg ALA, 679mg Omega 6s, and 479mgs Omega 9s, which creates a perfect blend of Omega 3s, 6s, and 9s.

In comparison, our Fish Oil, which has the highest concentrations of EPA and DHA per serving on the market (900mg EPA + 600mg DHA per teaspoon), has a much higher overall Omega 3s focus and much less Omega 6s and 9s.

    Amazing! But

    I love it my cat eats everything when i add a teaspoon of the oil. It will really help if you guys could maybe update the bottle i do make a bit of mess when i try and fill up the teaspoon. But overall I will buy it again!

    Algae oil

    We use the algae oil for Milos’s omega requirements. I love that is sustainable and comes in a glass bottle. It makes a huge difference in his health. So good for his heart, brain and coat. Thank you! PS He is actually a miniature Goldendoodle but more poodle than golden retriever.

    It WORKS !!

    Algae oil cleared up my dogs ear infection ( after 2 rounds of Antibiotics the infection came back until ) After 6 weeks of Algae oil , my dog Gus no longer had any infection , his hot spots disappeared , his skin cleared up and his shedding was cut in half .

    Top quality without fish oil

    So excited for this product as our dog is allergic to fish oil. She has responded great to this product without any allergic reaction and she likes the taste!
