The scoop is 1.2 grams or 2.5cc, which is equivalent to ½ teaspoon.

Our USDA Organic Probiotic with Prebiotics has 60 servings (scoops) per container. We recommend 1 scoop a day if your pet is between 15-60 lbs.

All of FERA's products are manufactured in the USA. All strains in our probiotics are from the US. Our Organic Prebiotics are from: FOS (Belgium), Inulin (Mexico), and Acacia (Senegal). It is manufactured in an FDA-registered GMP-compliant facility, third-party tested, and NASC certified.

Probiotics can be defined as living microorganisms, that when ingested in certain numbers, confer health benefits beyond that of their inherent nutritional value. The microbes used in our probiotics are live non‐pathogenic organisms, such as various Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus species, Enterococcus faecium, and non‐bacterial organisms such as the non‐pathogenic yeast Saccharomyces boulardii. Our probiotic formula is custom formulated by our veterinarian who recommends using a broad spectrum probiotic to bring balance to the gut microbiome. Each strain in our probiotic powder is proven to be beneficial for both cats and dogs and handpicked by our veterinarian. We also include prebiotics, which are non-digestible carbohydrates that modulate the intestinal microbiota and promote the growth of beneficial microorganisms in the intestines, which many other probiotics do not include.

The probiotic container is normally about half filled. We provide a longer handle scoop and wide rim bottle for ease of scooping, which requires a larger bottle. Each probiotic bottle contains 60 servings (ex: a pet that weighs 15-60 lbs will have 60 days worth).

If your pet was having normal stools prior to use, we ask that you stop using the probiotics and wait one week before reintroducing it. We always recommend starting at HALF the recommended dose. So if your pet is supposed to receive 1 scoop daily, please start at 1/2 scoop for a few weeks. We do recommend only introducing one supplement/treat at a time so we are not confused about what could be causing any diarrhea. We also recommend giving our Probiotics for 4-6 weeks to allow the GOOD bacteria to inhabit the gut and see positive results.

Our USDA Organic Probiotics with Prebiotics does not need to be refrigerated as long as they are stored in a cool (below 72 degrees), dry place. You are definitely welcome to refrigerate it if the storage conditions fluctuate as this will help maintain their potency.

Yes, it can be mixed with water. We recommend room temperature or cold water to maintain potency of the living beneficial bacteria. Please do not use warm or hot water.

During production, we add a surplus/overage of the amount of LIVING bacteria in our Probiotic powder to account for the natural decline in numbers secondary to transit, storage, and stomach acid. Keeping the probiotics in a cool, dry place (< 72 degrees) to maintain good stability is recommended and can be refrigerated to preserve potency if humidity and heat is an issue.

There are 3 main reasons for itchy skin:
1. flea allergy
2. food allergy
3. environmental allergy (atopy).

We have seen improvement with itching and overall skin health, especially if it is related to food allergies. But we always recommend consulting with your veterinarian to rule out all other causes of itchiness, especially if it does not improve with our probiotics.

    Wish I had found sooner

    I am not sure which product is making the difference in my dogs. I have them on 4 Fera Pets products. Cardiac support, calming, probiotics and post biotics.

    My male dog is 11 and he has mitral valve disease. His heart has enlarged due to his cardiac disease. We saw a change for the worse and started him on Cardiac support just after we began a second heart medication. I am not sure if it is the combination of both, or one over the other, but there is a positive change in him so I will continue with both therapies.

    My female who is 8 has been experiencing stomach upset for a very long time. We have tried everything ! She would wake at 5 am or earlier many mornings. I would wake earlier because her belly would gurgle so loudly. As soon as I heard it, I knew she would be waking me to go outside to eat grass and would not eat her breakfast. I have her on calming support plus the pro and post biotics. She is like a new dog and she isn't even consuming the recommended daily allowance yet. It is quite evident that she is feeling better, she is not waking early, not looking to go outside to search for grass and is excited to eat her daily meals. She is playing more and it warms my heart to see her feeling so well.

    Awesome Product and Company

    What do YOU look for in a supplement for your pet? 1st ; you SHOULD be looking into the manufacturer.

    FERA: Total transparency, USDA organic , 3rd party tested, container free of toxins like BPA. And it’s reasonably priced.

    Next look at the product. I use FERA probiotic. My Vet pushes Forti Flora. So not all vets are equal. The Vet that helped design this probiotic evidently gave seriously knowledgeable thought into its design. The #CFU and varied strains address more than one issue needed to maintains or regain our pets good health. I can’t wait to try FERA’s ‘Calming’ mix for when my puppy Ozzie gets his first long ride in the car and during any upcoming thunder storms.

    A happy family!

    We are crazy about our boy. Maybe, a bit neurotic, but who cares. We are thrilled to have found Fera. I am going to mention three products here: hip and joint, probiotics and mushrooms. Wow! My boy has always had stiff hind legs, but after taking the joint and hips--he moves with ease. He no longer drags and walks with a bit of a bounce. I was so thrilled. Oh, it's so exciting. He's super smart with words and complex sentences, since I matched every action with words since he was a baby. So, when we say, "L, do you want a joint?" He gets so excited and looks at the cupboard. The probiotics are magic too! His right eye was always goopy and nose runny. In a few short days, both disappeared--he has always had food sensitives which meant a restricted diet. He would always get raw ear syndrome, but it seems that too isn't a problem anymore. I hated giving him conventional medicine (Benadryl) when he got itchy. Lastly, the mushrooms, I am not sure what the benefits are, since it's not visible. I trust that it's working on a systemic level, since all of these products have had visible results. Now, I want to buy cardiac and perhaps liver support, but I am not sure if I am getting too excited and do not want to overwhelm our boy's system. if you could please advise. Do I order cardiac even though he's almost six and has not been diagnosed with a heart murmur. King Charles are known to have heart issues, will taking it now act as a preventive? Please advise.

    Seems to work as intended

    I bought this to help with my dog's soft stools, digestive issues and flatulence. She's had to get monthly anal gland expression and I suspected it had been from soft stools.

    A week after feeding to my dog daily with her dinner her flatulence decreased and she seems much happier.

    I chose this product because it was highly rated and the price is affordable and works with my budget.

    I can't say if it helped with her anal gland problem yet but I'm hopeful.

    Probiotics are amazing

    I love that this is a powder I can put on the dogs food, it makes it easier to ensure they get their supplements with out having to push a pill!
